Happy 40th Birthday Sandrine Holt



Sandrine Ho was born on November 19, 1972 in London, England to a Chinese father and a French mother. At age five, she and her family moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which has remained her hometown. Holt attended St. Joseph's Morrow Park High School in Willowdale. She worked as a runway model in Paris before she became an actress. As Sandrine Holt her acting debut was in 1991, appearing in the film “Black Robe”. She has played characters of various ethnic origins: Polynesian in “Rapa Nui” (1994); Chinese in the telemovie and subsequent TV show “Once a Thief” (by John Woo, based on his “Once a Thief” Hong Kong film); Native American as Annuka in “Black Robe” and Pocahontas in “Pocahontas”; Japanese in the film “The Legend” (1999); and as a Latina reporter in 2004's “Resident Evil: Apocalypse”. In 2006, she appeared in a recurring role on the television series “24” as Evelyn Martin, the aide to First Lady Martha Logan. In 2007 she appeared in the recurring role of Catherine Rothberg in Showtime's series “The L Word”. In 2012 she appeared in “Underworld: Awakening” as Lida, a scientist who took care of the main character Selene's daughter Eve, and cares for her despite having only been put in charge of her as a "science experiment." Sandrine has appeared in one Euro-western as Pearl in “Gunslinger’s Revenge” (1998). Today we celebrate Sandrine Holt’s 40th birthday.
